Graz school shooting: Ten people, including suspect, were killed in a shooting at a secondary school in the Austrian city of Graz on Tuesday, news agency Reuters reported.
Describing the incident as a “terrible tragedy,” the city’s mayor, Elke Kahr, said that the suspected shooter has also died.
According to a report by BBC, students and teachers are believed to be among the casualties at the Dreierschützengasse high school.
Details on injuries still remain unclear. Earlier, country's Interior Ministry said there are "several fatalities", but did not specify the number.
Special forces were deployed at the school after a call at 10 am, additionally the school evacuated and the public urged to avoid the Dreierschützengasse area.
The Graz police later said that it secured the site of the incident and there is no further danger.
Graz, Austria's second-biggest city, is located in the southeast of the country and has about 300,000 inhabitants.
